Converting from 901 to 915 - flange issue

Dear all

I’m very sorry to bring this up as it has been debated in other threads. However, I’m not - most likely due to my limited knowledge - able to clearly understand what the best solution is.

I’m converting to a 915 transmission from my old 901. My issue is very well known: My “901” CV joints is 108 mm and has 4-bolt & 2-pin layout. My 915 flanges are 100 mm and have a 6 bolt layout. Hence they don’t bolt up.

What should I do?

- Install an adapter (if someone is producing one) between the 915 flange and my CV joint?
- Install a correct flange? If so, any ideas on what might fit?
- Drill some new holes in the CV joint and make bolt up to the flange?

A little background: I’m converting to a 915 due to installing a 3.6 pushing 285 – 290 hp. Engine runs in the car by now and the last major issue is to mate the transmission and drive shafts.

Thanks a lot for your help. It is truly a great forum :-)

Kind regards, Peter
