Or is it Porschovah Witness? Anyway. I'm wondering how many of you out there have converted non-believers to the Porsche faith.
I not only got my boss hooked on 911s, but as of today he's officially a PCA member! (And he doesn't even own one yet!) It all started innocently enough. I went to my first autocross at the start of this season. I had so much fun that I offered to let my boss drive one of my cars so he could see how much fun I was having. Well, he had such a blast that he's been to every one since and now wants to buy a 911. (His wife is NOT happy with me.) This might not seem like such a big deal, but he used to be a Ford muscle car type. I feel like I've set a sinner back on the path of righteousness. ![]() It just struck me as funny. He used to kinda make fun of me and my "glorified Beetle" and now he's like a Porsche spokesman. Watching him sign up for PCA membership on-line was like watching your child graduate from college. I'm just so proud! Well, just sharing a story. Anyone else out there earning their wings by showing the Light to those in the dark? ------------------ Tyson Schmidt 72 911 Cabriolet 92 C-2 Cabriolet |

Pssstt....Don't tell anyone mw, but you can send in any old vin you find at a dealership or carlot. All they really want is your dues.

I think that PCA allows you to sign up for a temporary 6 month membership so that you can get Excellence for people who are looking for Porches.

I converted 2 and am working on more. Of course, my conversions are far more targeted than P-ownership in general - I preach Early 911 ownership only! Just doing my part to help drive the current bargain basement prices up, up, up for the early cars!

I must be becoming disillusioned, then.
Today I picked up the October Excellence, and in it there's a picture of a guy wearing a T-shirt that says: "To hell with Le Mans, we're building SUV's!". Hmmm. I hear those old BMW 2002's are lots of fun... |

BLASPHEME!!!!!! Heresy! Hey, don't switch religions just because a certain denomination is screwing up. We still have the "Old Testament" to live by. (early 911s)
