How can you possibly be off topic? I own a Porsche, and you own Porsche, as does Ron...... etc etc etc six degrees of seperation

Lee,
Get them to let you use the Business Center at the hotel. They have real computers down there and they are a lot easier to use, printers there as well. Kick ass and take names should you find any perps doing nasty things. We are all proud of you guys! Joe

Leland,
Welcome! Hope you enjoy your visit. On that note, whadda you say we get together at McSorley's old Ale House later this week-- it's the oldest bar in New York City, built 1854. Located at 15 East Seventh Street between Second and Third Avenues. Man, I was in McSorley's last night following a time-honored ritual: "Michael, two and two pleeaaase!" Michael SLAMS four beers down on the bar. "Seven dollars please!" Give Michael a Saw Buck. "Keep it and keep 'em coming!" Raise glass to lips. Drink McSorley's "Rich, Wax-Colored Ale." Admire historical artifacts lining bar. Dream of 911R Clone (Required Porsche Content) Repeat until 0100, using bar for support. Let us know what day works for you! Looking forward to it.

Lucky Dogs!
I JUST LOVE NYC. I haven't been there since..... Well, for a long time. I spent a couple of months in the nice stylish lower east side and enjoyed the bars (yes!), resturants and all the cool neibourhods and parks in the place. Soloman Gugenhiem (bad spelling I know) museum, Crysler building... Big time jealous! |

Lee,
Welcome to NY! I'm looking forward to getting together with you and the guys to tip a few amber beverages at McSorley's. Thursday of this week is bad, because my PCA Region is running a DE event at Pocono that day. Interested? I will await the date and time of the "gathering of the faithful". Lee --
Welcome! As it looks as though there will be a communal McSorley's event later in the week, if you're up to adult beverages, football and/or the best wings in NYC, I'd propose meeting at Scruffy Duffy's tonight -- 8th Ave. between 46th and 47th. You've got my contact info if you need it, and when/if you get there, just ask one of the bartenders for JP. Of course, all 'Heads are invited (to the extent anyone needs to be "invited" to a public house...), I'll be there anyway. This venue is convenient to our NJ brethren and to Mr. Cramer, who is evidently recovered from the plague. Let me/us know your sched. and if you want any recommendations for places in town. b/t/w -- "Big Apple" is a bit corn-fed, and causes most New Yorkers to cringe. "Capital of the World" however, is acceptable, in addition to entirely accurate. *smirk* Looking forward to meeting you. JP

Hey guys,
I just go back to the hotel room. I got a massage from Ronin and Bruce. 'l try calling yous guys shortly. I am the alien here... i don't even know which burow I'm in let alone find my way arond one of the bigest cities in the world. Yes, i is a litte intimidating. Anyway... I sat through the worlds longest intel briefing today so i didn't get back as soon as I thought. we don't have to report to work until 0830 tomorrow morning. I don't have th slightest clue what would be the best way for us t meet up...or where. I've only riden in a taxi like twice in my life! at any rate, I'l give you guys a call and try to get an idea of what would work best.

Ok, now I am on a real machine. Ron was kind enough to invite me over to his house in Long Beach. Now that I can actually see what I'm writing I wanted to see what everyone is up for. I still don't know what shifts I'm going to be working because the agent didn't show up for the briefing today... so hopefully tomorrow morning I'll know what times I'll be free.
It sounds to me like we have a couple choices. One: we can meet somewhere downtown at McSorley's. Or two, we can all get together for a fun night out on the town here on Long Island. I know it could be more of a drive for some of you, but I honestly like the atmosphere better out here on the island than the hussle and bustle of down town. We could hit a few bars along the boardwalk then pass out on the beach. ![]() Just my two cents. I'm still willing to venture into the "pit" of downtown if some of you guys can't make it to LI. I'm just not sure how i'd get downtown. I'm not one for inner-city driving... or mass transit for that matter. John, Bruce, JP, gaijinda....what do you think? Either way, I still want to meet and hang out. I think i've figured out that I'm not really a city person. ...Go ahead and take me off the list for that new spot on "Sex and the City". ![]() Bruce.... I did get your message and I'll give you a call tomorrow whenever I get off. Noah... what's the deal man.... you in town???
