lowering stock seats

Like the title says....Is there a way to lower the stock seats on an 85 911. I would like to lower them as much as possible.

Sorry to say, fabrication required.

The seat mounts on the tub need to be cut out, lowered, and welded back in.

Either that or swap seats with a lower profile model.

I have a long torso and have some decent Recaro's in my '81 that work for street driving.
Need more clearance for Auto X helmet clearance though.

Recaro speeds did the trick for me, much lower.
