81 SC Tach and Speedometer

looking for a used 1981 SC Tach and speedometer. My speedometer shows the speed but the miles are not turning over nor is the trip meter working. I would like one that goes to 160 instead of 85.

Thanks.

Wrong forum. Try parts/buy/sell.

You may want to consider having them rebuilt. More used parts may not be a good investment.

Send it to Hollywood Speedometer. They will fix it, recalibrate it and replace the face plate. I had mine done with the same problems last year for about $150.-, works and looks like new. A used one cost you that much and no guarantee that the odometer gear will not break soon.

Dropped my tach on the garage floor wrecking the bezel. North Hollywood speedometer fixed it in a week for $60 plus shipping(years ago). New bezel, cleaned it, tested it etc. like new when back.

Last year- NHS Overhauled my speedo with calibrate, clean, new bezel, new odometer gear and new IC for around $150 or so - and again back in a week or so.

Call them. May be cheaper than messing with used parts.
