trip to south carolina

1987 Carrera...
Well pelicans, Just came back home after driving the car over 2400 miles...
My trip ran through Gettysburg PA, The skyline drive in VA and a portion of the Blue ridge parkway, Charleston SC to Daufuskie Island SC (just off Hilton head) and Savannah GA.
With your advice, I was fully prepared for the unknown...tools, fuel pump&filter, relays etc. I have had the car for over 15 years now and always maintained it as suggested, also added over the years performance enhancing items such as SW chip, pre muffler and Monty muffler, and all new ignition parts. Lately reconditioned front and rear suspension main items such as shocks and turbo tie rods, bearings and bushings....
The car performed wonderfully, it was quick regardless of its weight, with tremendous vigor in the mountains and steering precision of a racing car...and to my surprise, I used only 1.2 liters of oil (2400 miles), and gas mileage was approx 23-24 miles pre gallon.
This car was meant to be driven not just pampered...and I strongly suggest that to all.
