Engine/transmission jack adapter sold here....
This may be old news to some of you so forgive my excitement...but I was happy to learn that the engine and gear box adapter for floor jacks sold by our host works fantastically for removing and mounting doors. It still a two person job but it's reasonable that a wife, kid, or elderly parent could help doing it this way because it only requires keeping it balanced. With my motor out it also was sitting tail-high and the adjustment bolt on the adapter let me change the attack position.
.....if you've ever lifted one of these doors you might understand my elation. |

I have both of the Pelican units but what you need to be careful of is the jack you buy now.
The companies have decided consumers don't need a removable cone on the new baseline jacks so the jacks aren't compatible with the engine balancers. Bruce |
