Mid-year seat belt lower mount info needed

When I first drove my 1974 911S home from being unloaded from the trailer the other day, the first thing I noticed was that the seat belts were ridiculously tight. OK, maybe I'm a lard-ass but I'm not THAT much of a lard ass. I mean, the belt was fully extended and I still had to move the seat back a little more than I wanted to in order to get the belt fastened. I searched the Pelican forums and while one or two others have had this problem, it is not widespread. Well, I diagnosed the cause of the problem: the previous owner had installed a new carpet kit and he used the outboard REAR SEAT as the lower anchor point for the front belts. That explains the missing 15+ inches of belt.

So I've located the correct lower front belt anchor point on the inner sill, where it makes all kinds of sense, and I'm getting ready to re-mount the belt. Looks like I'm going to have to cut a small hole in the new carpet to do this. I guess I can re-use the bolt, but I noticed from the parts diagram on Pelican that there's a spacer. I assume this is to make up for the thickness of the carpet?

If anyone has a good image of the lower anchor point for the front belts I'd like to see it before I start cutting. Thanks.

Regards,
Mark
