Passed Smog! But why was car dying when hot?

By a miracle I passed smog, but for some reason when the car was hot and idling for a while the RPM's would become irratic and ultimately die under its own power......any thoughts? I just changed the fuel accumulator and now the car is able to start back up after warm starts.

Also, there seemed to be a leak coming from somewhere when they did the evap test on the fuel tank. The guy said the hose that is circled in red seemed to be the problem. Does that go back to the charcoal canister? How on earth do you replace that hose if it runs the length of the car?

Anyways, I've attached my smog results. The NO2 was high so maybe a new O2 sensor? Hopefully not a new cat.

your valves may need to be adjusted.
My car did a similar thing and ran perfect after I adjusted the valves.

these cars run crappy when the valves get too tight.

That's a great idea because it I do have quite a bit of tapping going on in the passengers side intake valve.

That's the gas overflow system. The hose that is circled pokes into a hole in the fender area and vents to the atmosphere. It's no more than 12" long. All three of those hoses look like they should be replaced. Not expensive and not hard to replace.
