Lightbulb SCWDP Propaganda spreads

Brian from a 9 magazine has graciously offered to put a small ad for the SCWDP in his magazine. I remember the past threads about how some people were torqued that they didn't recieve an issue or felt the need to pinpoint gramatical errors and I don't want any of that in this thread.
This is not a venting area. gentlemen, this is about spreading the word to the masses...

Brian has asked me to get a logo image and a small description of our organisation.

So, I'm opening this up to the faithful for some good ideas.

Anyone want to take this project on?

Out of curiousity; how does one of us non-SC owners who DO have an appreciation for the SUPER CAR become an honorary part of such an elite group?

BESIDES trading in my Carrera; you can have it when you pry my cold, dead body from behind the wheel.

The question that leaps to my mind is "What exactly would this add be aimed at accomplishing?". Are we thinking of a newsletter/gatherings/stickers/apparel/group hugs or simply putting out the word that a deviant group of us exist on PP?

With regards to the logo and text, I would be happy to put something together as long as someone gives me the text. I do not feel qualified to write the copy.

Perhaps a feeble attempt at trying to counter the MFIWDP, which lately appears to be spreading like wildfire? Muhahahaha!

Those other organizations don't stand a chance, once I reveal what I have in store for them!

This would prove definitively and without prejudice, that our wiener is collectively bigger than their wiener. And I am unanimous in that.

Dr. Pate:
I sure hope you have that TM or copyright thing worked out. This is going to be bigger than imagined. The cause may have to expanded to include the Universe. I can see it now - Miss SCWDP competions (put me down for a judge), the SCWDP 24 hour race at Le Mans, and 20% of participating parts supplyhouses with the SCWDP membership card.

As to the ad, may I suggest a simple logo, a short statement of purpose, and a link to the web site. The purpose of the SCWDP is simple, and the reasoning behind the movement is self-evident. No real reason to make claims of added HP with a sticker. Just use the standard subliminal messages of world dominance that were incorporated into the stickers and T-shirts. Eventually everyone will get it.

Hey, lots of people get rich and famous and many of them (certainly Jack excluded) are not worthy. TM this idea, Leland. Give yourself a chance.

Re: Magazine advertisement

Gentlemen,

There is a saying in the industry...if if ain't in print, it didn't happen. As such, we must endeavor to spread the word via all forms of media in perpetuity. The message is simple, and domination is imminent. But what good is conquering the world if you don't have a zesty slogan during the campaign? As such, we should discuss the possibilities. I'm sure the infidels will chime in with vitriol and subterfuge, but we must remain steadfast. So a few offerings to start:

SC: It's not just for breakfast anymore
We came, we saw, we CIS'd their butts
3 liters, no waiting
Vengeance is mine sayeth the lord (oh wait, wrong campaign)

I await further communiques.

You know, if someone had told me two years ago that I need to TM the SCWDP, I'd laugh my ass off.

Now you guys are seriously thinking i should?

God, how on earth would I do something like that...

These MFIers do not concern me... they are too far behind and have no chance of catching up. Plus.... they're not even SC's.

As far as the ad goes... I'm thinking of a catchy logo of sorts with a narrative that sums up what we are all about, who we are, where to find us, and all with that evil sense of humor that any good domination plot needs.

Right about now I'm wishing our secret plans to bring Jack O. into the plot hadn't failed as misserably as that bay of Pigs thing.

He could come up with the right expression in the right amount of words.

Dr's, I salute you.

Of course we have nothing to fear from the MFIWDP'ers. The MFI is just a part. I will pay attention to them once they choose a vehicle.

Every man has his price. If Herr Olsen won't serve as a wordsmith mercenary for a t-shirt and some stickers, then we might have to resort to torture and/or subterfuge. I'm thinking either playing a "Best of Debbie Gibson" tape on permanent loop in his car, or perhaps sneaking in during the night and performing a 3.6 -> 2.0 swap. I'm sure that original engine is around somewhere...

The SCWDP is a five-year project of the SRCSD that was conducted from January 1994 to December 1998. Project emphasis was on characterization of the performance of treatment wetlands for trace metals removal. Objectives of the project are:

Characterize the performance of treatment wetlands for water quality improvement

Some thoughts from the President of the SCWDP Rainforest Region (one of the first, and probably the largest SCWDP charters).

Leland-
I always thought the SCWDP precept should be thus: "If you have to ask, you probably wouldn't understand!"

Just like when people e-mail me, asking how to "join", and what do they "get" with a "membership"? We don't have no stinkin' memberships!

I think it's better to eschew the dubious notoriety of magazine articles, ads, talk show appearances, etc., and get on with our subversive propaganda. Remember: Muhahahahahaha!!

MFIWDP-
What a joke!
You losers need to get your own schtick. You don't see the R-Gruppies ripping off our regalia. Go play with your Barometric Cells and get out of our grilles!

Do we really want to "go public" and let people know what we've got, namely the best all around P-cars ever built? I mean, consider the repercussions--SC values go through the roof, parts become unobtainable at reasonable prices, insurance would go up; we could become the 356 owners of the near future. (No, wait a minute; our cars actually handle well and ......)

BTW, how would one go about chartering an SCWDP Region? I think we need one for us Floridians...maybe the Swamp Region or Gator Region or..... I am available. And cheap.
