What is involved in getting a salvage title legally on the street

Hi,
I have been looking around for a good 81-90 roller and have had an offer for an straight 83 911 for $1K. The caveat is that it has a salvage title. I am seriously thinking about going in this direction as I have all the parts to put this baby back to life and then some and I don't intend to resale the Porsche. Assuming that it pass the Virginia safety inspection and all, what is involved, normally, to get the state to allow me to drive a salvage titled Porsche?. Andy

Matt,
what did you mean by docs. Did you mean the title? Thanks again. Andy

Yes, sorry for the delay. As long as you have the salvage title you are good to go.

Andy,

Check with your insurance company as well. Some companies refuse to insure a salvage title. Better to know beforehand.
