Nice work!
Pelicans Rule! The evil wrench rip-off is avoided once again! In this case, the 'book' procedure requires breaking the AC circuit, which is probably a $1000 job. The Pelican technique is less invasive, simpler, safer, and cheaper. Props to jlex who first documented this technique [may have been someone befre him, but jlex's notes were my guide].

I did the same thing with my caliper rebuild. Rebuilding would have been $2000 had a mechanic done it. My cost? About $45, including brake fluid.

Just finished road testing our 911 after a front & rear caliper rebuild, brake line replacement, drilled and vented Brembo rotor replacement, new Ferodo pads and new ATE Blue fluid (most of the above from Pelican Parts, of course!).
This is the first time I've tackled anything this "sensitive" on our 911, and with the terrific help from this forum, the 101 Projects Book and the Porsche SC Service Manual and encouragement by my wife, the job went perfectly. The only remaining things to do are 1) adjust the parking brakes just to be sure, and 2) take wife out to dinner for her help, especially bleeding the brakes. The technical article on caliper rebuilding was fantastic. The whole job was laid out so well there wasn't any doubt that I could tackle it. My only suggestion: have the calipers glass bead blasted before you rebuild them and then paint 'em something bright (ours are really bright red but I wish we had beaded them first to get a better finish!). Thanks Everyone - and please - WRITE MORE!!
