A U.S. '73 T should have 2.4 MFI, and a 73 1/2 T should have a 2.4 CIS engine.
It should also have solid rubber bumperettes, and black surround trim on the turn signal lenses, as well as black plastic horn grills. Seems to have none of these.

A T could be ordered with an S trim package, still says T on back, and is a T, but you get all the little shiny bits

But Jeff, the T, E, and S, all had the black treatment for '73.

ya it seemed really strange to me.... especially when it said it's all original including the 2.7 liter engine.

They are probably confusing the CIS engine with a 2.7L...

I think you could special order the silver trim, if that was your thing.
But I'm pretty sure you HAD to have the solid rubber bumperettes. Those were necessary to meet the 2 1/2 mph impact standards in the U.S.

Tyson,
The bumperettes (sounds like cheerleaders!) are solid rubber. It does have the S trim, but the grille doesn't look like it was ever black, it's silver through and through. Thanks. |

That makes sense. It could very well have come that way originally. The chrome grills go with the silver surround lenses.
