Replaced my 6/7 fuchs with 8/9 BBS RS on narrow body 911SC WOW what a difference

Just like the title says, the handling improvement is night and day.I moved the rear tires from the 7" Fuchs (225/50/16) to the fronts on the 8" BBS.Then I got 2 new 245/45/16 for the rear 9" BBS. Holy smokes what a difference. Before it felt like the tire was rolling on the sidewall during hard cornering, not to mention how far in the fuchs sat in the wheel well. Now it feels like I upgraded my suspension. Couldn't be happier. SmileWavy

Specs 16x8 ET28 fronts 16x9 Et15 rears, perfect fit ,so far no rub and the car is lowered. Did Turbo tie rods and bump steer last week.Just in need of WEVO shifter and PSJ and should be ready for Sebring fun!

PS I know my window frames need to be painted...(getting there,LOL, slippery slope)

and Fuchs are for sale.... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-used-parts-sale-wanted/817261-16x6-7-fuchs-my-sc.html#post8127912

Thanks for sharing with the skinny tire set. I recently went from 6 and 7s to 7.5 and 9s 17s Rota Fox Linea Corsa, and the transformation was unreal. The car feels so planted, like a rock. Never thought new wheels and tires could make such a dramatic change.

Enjoy the change.

The car looks great with the BBS wheels, well done!

The best part is no smog checks in Fla.... Count your blessings.

Nice looking car.

Just curious: what kind of tires do you have? I have 9" euromeisters on the back and I'm thinking of getting narrower rims because the tires options are so limited. I think there is only one 245/45/16 option on the Tire Rack website for the street.

PS. For what it's worth, I like the chrome window frames. A classic look.

You mentioned your trims need to be painted?

I hope you're not referring to the bright work around the windows. Looks great with the new wheels. IMO

Tan interior with the gold centered BBS looks very nice

Perfect!

That's a beautiful setup you got there (and I have exactly the same set on a shelf in the garage).

Looks great on a dark car (mine is Guards red, therefore still on Fuchs).

Thanks everybody.Im loving it.As far as the bright work, its not factory. Its a 80SC.I think they stopped bright work/polished trim in 78 ,could be wrong. Anyway, the PO sanded the anodized black and polished it, im not a fan of it.I want it blacked out again.
