CV Joint question on size
 

I am assuming the joint I bought on the bottom is the wrong one ?
It's much smaller than the old one. even with the cap on it the bolts will shred the tranny case because they are to long.

I also don't seem to have a dust cap " The new CV is an empi
and do I need to order the dust cap or no big deal?

I know new parts can change with time but this seems to just be wrong.

Is it possibly that my old one is a turbo and the new is not ?
I have a M491 Slant.
