Question Seeking an SC - But why is it smoking?

Looked at an '83 SC yesterday, with 84,000 miles. I think I will pass since it looks like it has may have had a hard life. But I have a question. After taking it for a lengthy drive, I parked it in the driveway and talked to the owner for about 3 or 4 minutes. I then watched as the owner put it back in the garage. When he started it up, there was no smoke. But when he moved the car, there was a small puff of smoke that seemed to drift from under the car (not from the exhaust pipe). It was a very small puff, but definitely there.

Any ideas on where that smoke came from?

leaking oil cooler or just a drip of oil from the valve covers on the heat exchangers is my guess.
