Trim for door pockets on 1973 911 T

I've got a 1973 T and am looking at restoring the door pockets. Overall, they're in pretty good shape. Both front and rear sets have speakers mounted in them that I intend to remove. The bins themselves are not warped or cracked. So, I plan to fill those speaker holes with either fiberglass or whatever method I can think of. I'll recover them in vinyl.

I've searched everywhere and only find sources or forums dealing with replacing these door pockets. Way too expensive for my needs. And the ones I have aren't that bad.

The issue (as it would always seem) is the chrome trim. On the rear set, the rectangular corner pieces are still in place. But the chromed aluminum u-channel that trims out the edges is gone, save for one of the shorter sections. I'm not looking for original replacement parts. This stuff is pretty simple looking stuff. Somewhere there has got to be someone selling this type of u-channel as a raw material. It would be easy to cut to length and shouldn't be too difficult to bend. I can get aluminum u-channel at Lowes or Depot, but it's the type that is fully squared off, not semi-rounded like this type.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what to use for these trim pieces?

The other issue is what is needed to re-mount the rear set of door pockets. These are the ones the pull out. The door pockets still have their hinges. But I need a good illustration/instruction for what else is missing? Brackets, rod, cord? I have no idea what the upper part is supposed to look like in terms of securing the pocket in place and preventing it from unfolding all the way out beyond a certain point. Any help would be appreciated.

Below is a picture of components for the folding pocket. I would also love to find a source of that edging trim.

I hope the picture from PET helps.

Regards, Neil

There is a bracket (no16) that stops the pocket coming out too far with a peg (no28) that runs along the sprung finger of the bracket. There is a bungee cord that helps pull the pocket inwards.

Best of luck, Neil

OK, I had the diagram, but thanks for the explanation Neil. The diagram simply doesn't make it clear how it goes together. Any thoughts on where to get the brackets and pegs?

Now, I just need the trim pieces.
