Flat Black Porsches

There are several show me your color porsche threads. There is even a Rat Rod thread but most in that one thought it was a Rot thread and it is filled with rusty cars.
This one is for the less than shiny......... No primer please only finish coats.....

It must be the "Stella Artois" decal on the rocker.
Stella is belgian beer...

Than you Peter.... Probably easy to copy, but is that really a good high pressure location for getting additional air into the engine?

I would guess that it works well.

The car pushes the air aside as it moves forward. The air would speed up as it's pushed aside.
As the air comes down the side of the car it will go to this area because it drops away... Almost like a vacuum.
There would be nice fat ducking back there leading directly into the engine bay through the fire wall.

It would definitely get more air into the engine bay...
Note the cut outs at the back of the spoiler. This would help air escape out of the bay as well.

The "covered" ducts on top of the rear wheel arches would also help air escape from this area.
Like Ruf did with the original CTR inter-coolers but in reverse.

The more you look at this car the more good ideas you see.

If Batman drove a Porsche instead of a Lameboringini it would be this one...

Alfred Pennyworth: Will you be wanting the Batpod, sir?
Bruce Wayne: In the middle of the day, Alfred? Not very subtle.
Alfred Pennyworth: The Porsche, then.
[with deadpan sarcasm]
Alfred Pennyworth: Much more subtle.

My car won't be flat black but I am painting a 79 Silver Targa with Rust Bullet metalic grey automotive covering. Have a quart in the garage right now to test some stuff with. You can apply with brush, roller or spray. Obviously my plan is to spray it. It is a similar product to the POR-15 products but does not have a UV problem with color change supposedly. The finish should be sort of a satin metalic grey. Going with some number decals and "other" vinyl decal material. Sort of a faux race car theme. Have not decided on exactly what just yet but I have some ideas. In the end, it should be sort of a rod theme. I'll post when I get some pictures and results.

I don't know it looks too shiney to be even a matte black. Looks more like acrylic enamel that wouldn't quite buff out. Is probably just the lighting though and the car looks great. I am sure it look fantastic in person.
