Clickity-clickity....

Hi All,
Search revealed a previous poster heard a similar sound on acceleration...disappeared with a clutch cable adjustment but was further diagnosed to the CV joints.
Mine is a similar sound but when coasting...low speed, engine idling either in neutral or gear, going down a hill on a narrow road with bushes close to the edges reflecting the sound...a faint click-click-click increases then gradually disappears with speed.
Had the trailing arms out this past winter replacing the wheel bearing...CV axles seemed fine but didn't pull them apart to inspect.
Pulling the wheels inspecting revealed nothing loose.
Cause for concern? Attend to immediately or wait until it becomes unbearable?
Feedback appreciated.
John

Try applying the hand brake and see if it changes. Could be some rust or a clip came off inside the hub.

Sounds like stones/gravel in the tyres to me. Goes away as speed increases due to road noise.........worth a look:D

Many possibilities.... One is loose/misaligned rocker or valves need to be adjusted.

Just ideas....

I'd look inside the valve covers if it were me. I'm going to be looking in mine today.SmileWavy

+1. My clickity-clickity came from the emergency brake cable being too loose.
