Ignition Switch Broke

Hi -

Looks like the valet busted my ignition switch. I was able to remove the switch and take it apart and the stud/pole on back of the tumbler is broken. See below pics and any ideas on how to quickly fix? It's stuck in the parking lot....(pic also included for fun).

Not the valet. The casting failed. Very common.

Repair attempts have been made with jb weld, but eventually fail. Unfortunately a good used or a new one in your future. This is the non cheap part of the ignition switch.

With the ignition switch electrical portion, you can turn the "+" as though it were the key to get you home.

Thanks for the replies - sounds like buying a new unit is the best long term solution then right?
