I live in Northern Indiana. Sounds like a plan. Maybe we could have a "everyone help fix Shawn's car" get together.

How about at my house... and whenever you can get there with your tools?
Seriously though. We have a nice diner here in Warsaw that makes killer hot chili. Just a thought.

I used to be Kevin's neighbour, until he moved from 4th Street, small world. Can't make it since I moved to Mass.

I'm in La Porte IN. Count me in on a get together. Either day of the weekend just let me know where and when. Any of you guys have an early 911? I just bought a '71' 911S and have some questions about who you would take it to for service. Thanks.

fryardds: The rules are you must show us a pic of your 71 S

But glad to see a new member with an early car. Tell us about it.

I would suggest DIY unless you have a lot of spare money around! not really meant to be sarcastic, boing your own wrench is aok. Besides there is a lot of assistance on this board!

Sorry guys, 28th (i think) is the F-1 race at Indy and I will be there!

If another weekend pops up though, there seem to be quite a few over in that neck of the woods!

Okay,
How is Saturday Sept. 28th in Fort Wayne, IN? They have a killer Italian place that is very nice and not too pricey. I think it's called Bella's?
Give me some feedback.

Dennis,

I don't have the car yet but here is a picture that was taken at the PPI. It is a Signal Orange '71' 911S Targa. It was totally restored 6K miles ago by the PO. Motor, transmition, and running gear were also rebuilt. My concern about DIY is the MFI. Maybe you early 911 guys can clue me in.

Brian, there have been quite a few MFI problems corrected based on knowledge on this board. Take a look at the archives and tech notes for MFI stuff. Print out the MFI notes and read em a few times! As individuals we aren't all knowing but as a group the pelican heads are pretty good!

Thats one nice looking S, My poor daily driver E might just feel out of place around such nice cars!
