Want to CNC some floorboards - need tracing from someone!
Hey guys,
I recently got a CNC machine for my shop and a laser cutter on the way. I don't have any passenger side floorboards and want to make some... But of course I can't take a tracing because I don't have the originals. Would someone be so kind as to grab a quick paper tracing of their passenger (911 SC Coupe) floorboard for me? All I need is a straight-on photo of the tracing and the farthest length and width of the board and I will be able to duplicate it in my software. Thanks!! |
I have a wooden one out of my 87 Carrera couple if that will help

Yes, that sure would!

...let me get a piece of white poster board to trace and take measurements |
Let's see some pics of your CNC machine and shop.

Length; 19 9/16th inches
width: 10 11/16 inches Measurements taken from actual floor board and not my crappy tracing http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1405001847.jpg |
Maybe you can use this pic of actual floor board on white background

For set of drilled aluminum I'll ship him both drivers and passenger side wooden ones today. They're in perfect shape and out of the car already since I'm refurbish my interior. :D |
Awesome, thank you SO much!!
I want to get right on this - I have a couple cool ideas for these. We have a big car show weekend coming up, but after that I should be able to get a couple popped out for test fitting. |
DS.....if you need to use my boards for a template I'll be happy to send them to ya. I will need them back but not for a few months. And I won't even ask for a set of your prototype. Lol
Just let me know if ya need them |
