Any Pelicans - In Amsterdam, NL area?
Relocating again back to NL area... Brought my 82 Targa last time, learned some big lessons about MDV inspections and importing into NL. Have an 84 Carrera this time, and need a "refresher course"...
Any insight from Pelicans in NL would be appreciated. Dank u wel. |

I flew home from Amsterdam a week ago.
If you can't find anyone to answer your question in NL, I found a great independent Air Cooled shop in Hasslet, BE.....I'm sure Walter could answer your question via email....PM for his address if you wish.

Hi, I live just north of Amsterdam (Landsmeer). Not much experience importing cars though.
Imported a German motorcycly once: applied for a temporarily licence plate/papers to use, insured the motercycle and drove to the Amsterdam RDW centre to have it inspected. The motorcycle was fairly new and the same spec as available at the dutch dealers, so no issues here. Paid remaining VAT and recieved the Dutch car paperwork by mail after a few weeks. I guess most info on this you can find here (as already mentioned): "http://www.rdw.nl/Particulier/Paginas/Invoeren-.aspx?path=Portal/Particulier/Auto/Invoeren" A good independent porsche specialist I sometime use for maintenace/repairs and the mandatory inspections (2jrs) (closest to A'dam 15mins) is Waalgarage: "http://www.waalgarage.nl/" Succes ![]() |
