We have been struggling with some details for the Targa Baja California event. I have some changes to my schedule that have made it impossible for the Oct 19 weekend. And more than a few of you also had conflicts with the original dates.

so... Let us start with the new dates
OCTOBER 22-26, 2014
What follows is a sample schedule of what the event will look like:
Oct 22 Wednesday- Sign in hq hotel San Diego area
Oct 23 Thursday am Final sign in and caravan to the border crossing (Tecate). Cross as a group, and with Federales escort a brisk drive to Ensenada. Welcome party HQ Hotel San Nicolas- fenced guarded parking
Oct 24 Friday- Backroads drive to the area's wine country, wineries, lunch, then more back roads, open night
Oct 25 Saturday- Ensenada International Concours - where we enter our cars, enjoy live music, lunch, Awards Group dinner at the HQ hotel (exhibition or judged classes) HQ hotel is across the street, so you can enjoy a dip in the pool while monitors keep your car safe at the show
Oct 26 Sunday- Federales escort back to the border crossing

CAR VALUE INSURANCE WILL BE AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE FROM REPUTABLE EXPERIENCED COMPANY
ROAD SIDE EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE FOR OUR GROUP
WALKIE TALKIE COMMUNICATIONS WITHIN THE GROUP
Plenty of race gas available in ensenada , if you want to mix it with the Pemex (I have 10.5:1 twin plug and run pemex premium (no race gas) with no problems)

IMPORTANT: AS YOU MIGHT GUESS, ORGANIZING AN EVENT LIKE THIS TAKES A LOT OF WORK. THE SUCCESS OF THIS EVENT DEPENDS LARGELY ON HOW LARGE AN ENTRY FIELD WE CAN ATTRACT.

SORRY, I KNOW I ASKED BEFORE, BUT IF YOU PLAN ON JOINING THIS SPECIAL EVENT WE NEED TO HEAR FROM YOU RIGHT AWAY ! IF YOU ARE NOT GOING; NO PROBLEM - NO NEED TO RESPOND. WE MUST HAVE 40 CARS MINIMUM IN ORDER TO COVER ALL THE EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH THIS EVENT

TARGA CALIFORNIA SPRING 2015 : WE WILL BE RETURNING TO OUR CENTRAL COAST SET OF ROADS. WE WILL ANNOUNCE THE DATES IN SEPTEMBER

Police escort from border crossing to Ensenada, and return at event end

Open to 1975 (includes continuation models) classic and vintage cars
Includes emergency road service following the group

Some of you have asked what Porsche can they bring.

The 964 is considered a continuation of the 911 series , whereas the 993 is just a lil too modern to accept. So 94 and older 911's are eligible

sorry 944 and 928 owners- just not happening

Besides being open to all makes prior to Jan 1976, The event is open to unusual models. Got something special ? contact me . We'll see

The car show planned will have exhibition and judged categories. Best Porsche, etc , Peoples choice. Heck its for fun and the climate should be wonderful
