You need to pull the front windshield and check the corners as well. Mine wasn't as bad, few little holes in rear seat area and deck. I grinded the hell out of them, wire wheeled them; navel jellied them, primed them, patched them with FG and sealed them.

Yep, the problem with the w/s pillars is already showing. It's on my list. The problem with the w/s pillars is that you have to shoot color when you're done. I already have several shades of Gemini blue on this car. I'm holding off for a while. I really do need new control arm bushings.
I like your approach for rust. About 5 years ago I did the wire wheel trick. I used duct tape and the painted everything with red oxide primer. I bought 5 years with that technique. I normally budget $2,000 a year for collector cars. I spent a lot more on the 911 this year but I had neglected it for a few years. You can't do that with a collector car. Richard Newton |
