Best Restoration book/documentation
Hi All -
I have Dr Johnson's Restorers Guide for my car, but I am looking for more detailed info. Is there a more detailed restoration/concours book someone can recommend? Thanks - Scott S |
What car do you have?????
|
Probably the future book
That Magnus Walker should probably write! :D:D:D

Mine is a 77 - so primarily 1974 to 89, but I would love to find something that also included the long hood cars as well.
Thanks! |
Mark Haab wrote one for the '74-'89 cars.

Are you looking for authenticity information or how to set a rocker panel properly?
I like Peter Morgans book - I have the earlier version of this one. Yes, it's haynes suported but let me look at mine tonight to see how in depth it is. I remember it being informative. http://www.amazon.com/Porsche-911-Purchase-Restoration-Motoring/dp/1859606121 Also this one is good but just provides detail on the cars and what they included. Might want to buy the $20 on line version as the single new hardcopy edition is $2,200. (?????) http://www.amazon.com/Collectors-Originality-Guide-Porsche-911/dp/0760335753/ref=sr_1_10?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1406048855&sr=1-10&keywords=peter+morgan+porsche You can get the online versions at Google Books. Wayne has the Peter Morgan Book http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/shopcart/BOOK/POR_BOOK_bkpres-detail.htm |
Peter Morgan has a good restoration book for the 911.
