AC delete question...front condense protection bar...structural?

Finally getting around to removing front condensor. There is a bumper bar that loops in front of front condensor. It attaches to the chassis in front of front suspension mounting points and the center of tub. Is this bar structural to chassis or merely a bumper to protect the front condensor? Should it be left in place after condensor removed? Or can I leave it off?

Thanks in advance...

you can leave it off if you like but most people replace it after removing the condensor just as a cautionary item for everyday driving. our cars sit pretty low so it can't hurt to have it on.

Thanks. Given it's relative thin wall and the fact that it only attached in one plane to the chassis, it did not appear to be a structural component

But what do I know....my strut brace is made from aluminum.;)

It is a an "early warning device".
If you run over a curb or whatever, then 'maybe' you will hear it hitting before the bottom of the tub.

Lol. I guess you're correct. But seems I would hear my ffront air dam making contact long before I hit the bar.

Maybe I should mount curb feelers up front;)
