Admittedly the last time I closed the door on a '57 Bel Air hardtop was in 1968 but I definitely remember it as being more of a "clunk" with maybe the window rattling a bit. and yes, I owned both a Bel Air 2 dr hardtop and a 210 2 dr sedan.. and sure wish I had either one of them now.

Had a 56 210 4 door hard top that had 39k miles owned by girlfriends grandparents. Late 70's. Door shut with the blap sound. It was way tight. I remember because it was almost freakish after driving American 60's and 70's cars.

You can tell that driving season is over for many of us in the northern reaches of the U.S. I don't want to do it but I just may have to open and close the 911 doors tomorrow:rolleyes:

I see Chagrin Falls is your location. Way back girlfriend lived on Orange Street across from Tim Conway's parents crib. Small "Conway" sign in front lawn is gone per recent visit.

Very near the spot the miscreants roll the pumpkins down the hill.

I don't think the California dudes will care. :D

For those not familiar with the movie Marathon Man, staring Dustin Hoffman, this is the reference:
Dr. Christian Szell aka 'Der weisse Engel' (The White Angel) was a former Nazi dentist at Auschwitz Concentration Camp (inspired by Josef Mengele, the last doctor in charge of Auschwitz II)

Merry Christmas?
