In some cases yes, but like most threads and posts found on this forum, what seems
the most probable fix is generally not the resulting actual problem. As an example,
read the many threads, e.g. cruise control ECUs, where some have indicated likely
bad connections and fixing those connections did not solve the problem.

Motogman has obviously not read many troubleshooting threads, e.g. nor done much
troubleshooting, where many posts windup wasting an OP's time and money by
over-simplifying or misleading a problem solution.

Remember, Pelican Parts provides a "rebuilding" service for 911 computers.

Could you define what rebuilding is for me?

Somehow Loren just doesn't get it, never did, never will....

I've said it before and I'll say it again. He really could be a valuable contributor here if he would focus on giving information rather than peddling his opinions in a condescending way......

My advice is ignore Dave, it's a waist of time to even derail this thread with him.

If you think you need a computer rebuilt, you need to call your potential vendor
and ask them what their rebuilding process includes, i.e. just like you would normally
do when having anything repaired/rebuilt on your car or house.
