Color Question

I have a 1978 Petrol Blue 911 SC, that i'm getting repainted and was wondering how rare of a color is Petrol Blue on a 911 because I also like Pacific blue, but I really don't want to change the color.

I have seen a few Petrol Blue cars out and about. I like the color. Can't speak to its rarity though.

just bought one...

just today…picking up tomorrow…petrel blue 1978sc targa with cork…i specifically wanted a blue and petrel looks so right, especially with the chrome hardware and stainless bar

My vote: Keep it the stock color. Wish I had a 78 SC, any color. #1 on my Porsche wish list is a 78-79 SC Coupe, Chiffon, no tail.

1973 911 T MFI Coupe, Aubergine

Petrol Blue is very nice. Keep it original!!

I have a Dolphin Grey 911SC coupe ...not sure if I have seen another.

I love Petrol Blue, has more character than Pacific, IMO. I like it so much that I'm seriously thinking about changing my Chiffon to Petrol when I paint it in a few years.

Had one. Very rare, I believe it's the only year they offered it as a stock color on the 911. Keep it.

In the end YOU have to like it
The only color I could not ever live with would be Peru Red..(Really just primer brick red).
