Toad in the hole
 

Growing up, a toad-in-the-hole was a fried egg in a piece of toast.

You take a peace of bread, cut a hole in the middle with a round chopper or the top of a drinking glass, and put this on your frying pan/hot plate. Put ¼ teaspoon of butter in the middle and then the egg. Fry the egg the way you like ‘em (sunny side up, over easy, etc.) A little salt and pepper to taste, and enjoy. You also take the round cut-out part, butter both sides and grill/fry that as well.

My kids (and I) love them… But I don’t know what that would be doing at the fair???
