Since you are in Fort Worth, the US model would be a whole lot less hassle. (emission police) Only about 20 horsies diff.

I won a US Marshal auction of a 83 911SC Cab that turned out to be a "ROW" vehicle. Vin will start with WPOZZZ. I was fortunate in that I tried to hunt down the DOT and EPA compliance documents for two months before I hit pay dirt by finding the right lady at the EPA who had a record of this vehicle being "federalized". Otherwise it would have been very expensive. It is illegal to sell a non-complying vehicle to someone and opens you up to a lawsuit. You can purchase one and in the past may get away with it but with all records getting onto PC databases, it wil catch up with you. I have seen a few "gray market" 911s on Ebay and when I emailed them if they had the DOCs, I never got an answer. Mine is lower, has the additional HP by way of higher compression, and has the H4 headlights. It has other goodies since the drug dealer had deeper pockets than most of us. Sure, buy one but make sure it has both the EPA and DOT compliance.

I think that you will find that they also have lower prices. There was some very interesting jobs done to get them to pass the DOT.
