Question Steering Wheel Question

My car currently has a Momo Wheel on it, but considering putting back on the OEM Wheel at some point. Can I just take off the Momo and bolt on the OEM wheel, or will I need another part?

The car had the momo on it when I bought it, and I do have the original wheel, but thats all the parts I have, wondering if I need a different hub?!

Thanks!

Rod

Rod,

I have an '89 cabriolet with original OEM steering wheel. Replaced it with a Momo steering wheel plus hub adaptor. The factory OEM steering wheel has the steering hub already.

As stated above the standard wheel will bolt right on. You can reuse the bolt and washer for the standard wheel. It is easiest to remove the MOMO wheel from the hub and then remove the hub. The MOMO horn button has a different connector on it that many have changed. It is bigger than the stock Porsche connector. There is a chance that who ever did the conversion used an adapter (I did) thus preserving the Porsche one. Some people opt to cut it off and crimp the MOMO one on in which case you will need to put the proper one on or compress the larger one to fit on the Porsche wheel.

Regards
Dave
