Long time coming my friend
 This is going to be a few post to get through. I got my 1975 911s back in 2004. this is the first pic I have of the old bomber. Sugar scoops and all. I had no idea what I was getting into.

 The paint had a few issues. But there was a lot of good there too. 1987 3.2l Just needed a little sorting and it would be perfect!

 It didn't take long for me to start fiddling about. First thing to go were the sugar scoops and rear decklid. H4's and the ubiquitous Ducktail were added

At some point before I owned her someone spray painted over the anodized petals in the wheels.
I literally flaked it off with my finger nail at first, Wheels were nice but at 15X6 all around the handling was a little squirrely

this is when the frankenstein really comes through in the story.
parts and pieces from all different years starting to find a home in the old bomber.   Not to mention that the valve guides were starting to get a little worn...

Around this time I was done with the hamptons and found myself in manhattan.
I was back in connecticut talking to a porsche friend of mine and he recommended it was time for a rebuild. lol Lots of smoke on start up and also occasionally when I was driving. couple leaks as well. This is where the story starts to get better, I was introduced to dan jacobs and his crew at Hairy Dog Grrrage. I had already been a member here for a while and had heard about M&K mufflers, so one was added along with a set of SSI's for better or worse in terms of top end power. I absolutely love the sound the combination generates!

 To balance out the duck tail I added a front lip spoiler and headed to the track. first and so far only time at Watkins Glen plus countless times at lime rock and great weekend at jersey motorsports park I was hooked!

   So that brings me up to date. I have done plenty of other mods listed in my signature. Loved every minute. been stranded only a few times especially considering the way I hammer on this 40 year old friend of mine. I've driven 24 hours straight to florida spending half an hour at 125 mph in south carolina along the way. run track days in the middle of heat waves and every time first time she fires up and gives that amazing adrenalin rush that only an air cooled 6 can. The pics I have here are from the drive way of the body work and paint specialist who will finally finally finally pull everything together and make this frankenstein shine. I can't wait!
