Foaming Oil
Along the side of the oil fill pipe is some light brown foamy stuff. I made the assumption this was foaming oil. If I was seeing this in a water cooled engine oil, I would suspect water or coolant mixing with oil. So, because this foaming is pretty minor, I changed to Mobil 1. Foaming is pretty much down but so is my tendency to drive up to and over 5k.
Any thoughts? Others have this stuff? Anyone worried? Thanks.

Light brown foaming is an indication of...strangely enough...water mixing with oil. In a 911 water comes from condensation....drive the car, get the oil hotter, would be my suggestion. Water at sea level boils at roughly 210 degrees...FWIW, your symptoms happen pretty often to cars in the soggy & chilly NW USA...my thought is that you may need to drive more, longer distances, in order to get an maintain an oil temp above 210...to "boil" the water outathere! Above 5K? Oil gets warmer faster. Have fun!
