takes a minute to run on its own

I have a 1977 911s Targa, the engine was rebuilt with only about 3K miles when starting it up it take a minute or less to run on its own so I have to give it a bit of gas. After that she runs and idles fine. Any ideas

Check Aux air valve, Aux air regulator.
