Car Not Run Often
My 77 has not been used much over the past few years. Wondering what would be the best way to freshen up the fuel system? Cleaners, higher octane fuel? Anyone have any tricks or products that have worked well?
Looking forward to exercising the old girl Thanks, Tom |

Did you use fuel stabilizer and how much fuel did you leave in it last?

If my car is going to sit for a while, I put 100LL Avgas in it. No alcohol, stays stable for long periods.
Car never failed to start after sitting a few months. |

Car has OK fuel. Runs decent but want to put something in that will give her a cleansing throughout the systems.

Oh then just fill it with the good stuff and drive it. Best medicine is use!

Fuel system cleanse
Though I've long used Techron, SeaFoam, and other cleaners over the years, I think that driving the car regularly is best. Actually, ethanol laced fuel may also help as the ethanol dissolves some deposits in the system. Just don't leave it sitting for long periods of time in the tank, giving the fuel a chance to phase separate and eventually turn to jelly.
