CEL and high flow cats
OK, I have a two part question:
1)How many of you have put high flow cats on your car (996ers in particular but I'd like to hear from all of you if possible)? 2)Did the high flow cats trigger a chronic check engine light? I ask because I was ordering up the parts to do this and all the sudden I start hearing that if I do put on the high flow cats (fabspeed in this case) I'm gonna have to deal with CELs the rest of my life. Seems counterintuitive to me. ![]() |

I realize that this is an old thread, but that does not make it irrelevant for anyone doing some research.
Last year (2013) I installed Fabspeed high-flow (200 cel) cats. All was fine at first, but within a few months I started to get CELs on my 996. Fabspeed has refused to honor their warranty. Detailed information is available at the following link: FABSPEED - Cuda911's Cat Replacement Thread - Rennlist Discussion Forums
