The horror!!! - That green interior has made it to FL...

I was hoping that '89 Cab with the green interior on the German eBay site was a fluke. But now there's something just as bad in FL. Who orders this stuff from the factory? It has to be custom. What blasphemy!

"This particular exterior/interior combination is rare making this car absolutely desirable and stunning. The leather interior is a $10,000 option."

Richard--

Unfortunately, that interior is not rare at all. It is standard on all Porsches shipped to Japan.

So that's how Marc got his 3.2 engine so cheap. Some Japanese dude just had to put an '89 Carrera out of its misery, by selling the engine on eBay and probably torched the inside of the car out of sympathy.

I actually kind of like it. I mean, if you're going to be obnoxious, be obnoxious.

I saw a 993 targa at a concours that had a green leather interior. I thought the windows were tinted in green. It actually looked pretty nice once you got used to it. It is much better than the wacky mint green from Germany.

The name of the leather color? How about bile green? . The exterior color? Sure isn't Irish Green, is it?

Stop the press!!
This car is wanted by the Everglades national park foundation it claims they took a very rare plant to get that color on leather.

If memory serves correctly....
I think that the green interior in ths car is / was an optional Porsche color - not a custom or 'match to sample' order. Further I think that Alois (sp?) Ruf regards this green interior matched with a silver exterior as a stunning combination. This was in some back issue of Excellence I think...

One more bit - while it may look nice with a silver exterior, there were pictures in an earlier issue of Excellence of a Boxster with the early pale yellow exterior and this green interior - Not quite as pleasing to the eye....

Apparently Bruce "King Carrrera" Jennings special ordered 1967 911 S with a green interior.
