How do I find this short -- again?
This is driving me absolutely nuts! My right front turn signal ('87 Carrera) keeps going out. Actually, the fuse for it keeps blowing. It was intermittent -- now it's ongoing. I replaced the turn signal/high beam stalk a few weeks ago. I just took the lamp assembly apart and all looks as good as new. No frayed wires, no corroded socket, good bulb. I tried as best I could to trace the wires back to the fuse box. Every wire looked perfect. Underneath the dash I noticed a few wires where the electrical tape had come off, so I replaced it. What can be causing this? I don't even know where to start with my continuity tester or my volt meter. Anyone please? Thanks.

Hello
How about searching the archives ? First step is to find out if the fuse will blow even with removed bulb and then with removed connector. You just have to find out if the front or rear unit is the bad one and then track down the shortage. Grüsse |
