1977 Porsche AC compressor

I have a 1977 Porsche 911s AC Car and the original owner removed the AC compressor. Will this compressor work form my car. i see a 10-77 on the tag. is that the date?

Also will I be better off going with a Saden unit or a Denso?

Thanks,

Sam

It's for the 1978 model year if 10/77 is the date. I do not know if it will retro fit.

Yes on the Denso or Sanden.

Hi Sam,

Pretty sure that will work. I have a 507 on my 81. It has a double pulley.

You will need a mounting plate that sits on top of the old York steel plate and some bolts and nuts to secure the unit down.

You can also search for a used mounting bracket if you are on a budget. Charlie Griffith will sell you the mounting bracket and hardware kit. Griffithstech.com. Pelican carries his products as well.

I found the compressor on Ebay you posted. The seller has a 100% rating and it's re-manufactured.

However, your system is "open" which requires a receiver/drier change out.
