Engine and transmission numbers

I recently acquired an '85 911 Carrera and it's my first Porsche. I'm slowly working my way through maintenance items and during the last oil change and valve adjust I took the numbers off of the engine and transmission. I would like to know if they are original.

engine: *64F01642* 930/21

transmission: 74F01726 915/68

The engine number corresponds to a 1985 US spec carrera 3.2 motor. You can only confirm if it is original by getting the certificate of authenticity.

I am not familiar with "The Certificate of Authenticity". What is the process for obtaining one?
And, would one be interested in obtaining it only if putting together a concours car?
