Injector Spacing Dimensions 3.0

I've searched.....but, apparently my search terms are too common.

What is the fuel injector spacing on a 3.0 engine with CIS? I can get close by measuring....but, I'd like to have hard dimensions if possible.

I'm going to have custom fuel rails made.

TIA

Can we ask why ?

CIS are a totally manually injector and depend on pressure to open. Each has its own feed directly from the distributor to enure correct pressure to open the injector.

I would think a "fuel rail" in a CIS application may not yield desirable results.

Converting spare CIS to EFI....

I think the dimension you need is 118mm .
Going by my memory, if you measure out from the middle injector midpoint, the outside ones are both 118mm distant.
Does this tie in with your measurements?

PS: you can buy these already made up from the Bitz EFI Kit guy (Tony?)

Thanks!

I'm not sure if the dims match yet or not. I was planning on pulling off enough parts to try and get an accurate measurement with the engine in the car.

I've been in contact with Tony at Bitzracing about the system he sells. The problem is I want to run both fuel and ignition with Megasquirt. I currently run Megasquirt on my BMW race car and have a spare MS unit I want to use with the 911. If I can't buy his kit without the ECU...it starts to make sense to build my own using higher quality parts and using my spare ECU.

Also, I do have an email in to Tony asking if he will sell just the parts I need.

Cheers!

I read on this Forum (somewhere!) that he would supply components of his kit.

Keep us posted on his reply and the true injector spacing measurement, once you have verified it.
