PPI show compression of 210!!!
Just did a PPI on a C2. The results are
#1: 210 #2: 212 #3: 214 #4: 186!!! #5: 201 #6: 206 I thought they are supposed to be around 180. Why the high values? What do you think of #4 being 186? thanks, anthony |

Well, with a compression ratio of 11.3:1 ... I wouldn't expect anything less than 200 psi!

Number 4 = bad sign.
This is not a good result for a compression test. Numbers should be within about 5% of each other... This one is more than 10% off... -Wayne

Having the car retested today on cyl #4. At 11.3 to 1, shouldn't the compression of the cylinder be 11.3*14.7=166?

Is the Throttle in the open postion when doing the test ?
It needs to be open.

Redid the test on cyl #4 and compression is 201. So all is ok.
