Pseudo-CoolCollar
Browsing through the new Performance Products catalog (of course, you know where I was), I came across a pseudo-CoolCollar product that connects in lieu of the S-tube.
Anybody used this before? Planning for my xplant, I wonder if Pelican would carry this? |
What exhaust are you planning on? It's a good product (Compact Cooler by JM Products), but it wouldn't fit next to my B&B headers.

Uhh, it's been in my catalog for almost a year now...

Sorry Wayne,
I cannot browse your website in the restroom. However, I'll play today and order some bushing and turbo tie-rods. |

To call the compact cooler a pseudo-cool collar is not actually accurate. The cool collar depends on a metal to metal transfer of heat to work and the compact cooler has oil running thru it and transfering the heat directly to the cooler through a series of internal and external fins totaling over 800 sq. in. of surface area. The cooler is located in a an area that has a high air flow that is capable of extracting the heat from the cooler very efficiently while driving.
While not replacing some of the very expensive and hard to install cooling systems, the Compact Cooler can provide a very reasonable amount of cooling at a comparitivly low price and a very easy installation. Jerry |
