None! Just plug it into your Iphone!!!
I can now stream Spotify CRYSTAL CLEAR with a endless catalog of music in my 40+ year old 930. Best thing I’ve seen for classic car audio yet!!!

Actually for those of us that have multiple SiriusXM Subscriptions this eliminates the need for more than one vehicle subscription. Thanks for the tip.

Plugged directly into the iPhone or a cord of some sort? I love it... Just no radio in my ‘76 to try it out with...

Plugged into IPhone it transmits a FM signal to your radio. Strong Clear.

Can you eliminate the outside antenna and run a small one behind the dash to the radio?

I wonder . . . Would it work with a USB C to lightening conversion adapter?

I deleted my outside antenna and got a little digital one. It works but you have to run it somewhere with a little metal as possible- like on the A pillar or one of the windows. Behind the dash there is just too much interference.
Mine is on the A pillar and almost completely invisible as it blends in with the black on the trim. It works but let’s be honest, even with a new stereo and speakers (continental and focals) it’s only good for traffic.

looks like you can also go full wireless -- googling "bluetooth fm transmitter car" came up with a LOT of hits, including this https://www.amazon.com/SmartCharge-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Receiver-Dedicated/dp/B07GJ7DHMP/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIv-yl5vHY8gIVYWxvBB3VhArxEAAYAyAAEgKHbvD_BwE&hvadid=177571888046&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9028775&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=11177222530430233948&hvtargid=kwd-139884871470&hydadcr=25312_9899920&keywords=bluetooth+to+fm+transmitter+for+car&qid=1630331434&sr=8-5

Just to make sure I understand: what is the difference with simply connecting through BlueTooth (provided one has a BT head unit of coarse)

OP didn't have a bluetooth head unit, only "old school" radio. Going through bt head unit should give a lot better sound than an FM-based adapter

Car DAB+ solution
You can purcahse a car DAB receiver, that receive digital radio and sends over a self to set FM frequency to continu to use your old Radio.
Depending on the size you can installe it in your Porsche ashtray. Comes with DAB antenna and can stream bleutooth from phone and can be used to make phone calls when driving. ![]() |
