Banana Arm Bushings
Hello-
This should be a real quick one for anyone who has replaced the banana arm bushings before. I am in the process of completely disassembling my car's suspension, and last night was driver's side banana arm night. I pulled the steel washer/inner bushings out of each side of the arm, then popped the rubber bits out. My question is this: There appears to be the outer shell of the rubber bushings still inside the arm. Since I haven't purchased my OE replacement bushings yet, I don't know if these thin shells are part of the arm or the bushings. I suspect they are just a part of the bushing, but I'd like confirmation before I try and pry/pound them out. Thanks.

Those are part of bushing. There are 2 pieces in each arm which if you look inside you will see. I used a thin screw driver to tap them out. They come out pretty easy. Then, take some 150 grit sand paper and sand the insides, removing any burs.
