What are fuchs made of?

I know that they are possibly the lightest and strongest alloy wheels ever made, but made of what? Aluminum? Magnesium? A blend? TIA.

I'm guessing it's got a lot of AL, but they are called alloys, so they are a mixture of metals, and they have the strength because they are forged.

Right, forged aluminum alloy, containing some Magnesium. Excellence had a really great article a while back on the history and construction of fuchs.

I'll post if/when I find which issue.

Mags

The Mahle "gas burners" as found on the 914-6 were actually lighter. That's because they were real Mags as in Magnesium based.
