Which Front Calipers for a 2.0 Vintage Race Car

I have a set of both aluminium S and standard steel front calipers to use on my 2.0 racer. Which would I be better off with? Alu ones are obviously lighter, but have heard of flexing issues with them???.

Iron ones, hands down since they give a much better pedal.

Steve, I've heard this before but without getting a proper explanation. Why is it that the S-calipers are not preferred on track cars?

What is the best calliper to replace them with? Someone said the Carrera calipers use the same size pads(?)
