One-piece (993 style) Cabriolet Top for '84 - '89 Cab
Does anyone here have a one-piece 993 style cabriolet top installed on their '84 - '89 Carrera Cab?
Just wondering whether these one piece soft tops fit really well on the '84 - '89 cabrio frame? I'm looking to replace my soft top which is faded and ripped with a new one. Wondering whether I should go with the two piece soft top or a one piece 993 style top. Anyone got any experience and pics to share of the one-piece 993 look and fitment etc? Thanks, James |

I was looking for that info as well. I found some posts on different forums, where it was done. So I went and ordered a 993 top, and it doesn't fit.
See my post Cab top question 993 on 87 Cab Question In the meantime I found out that there is a 993 style top available for the 83 - 89 cars. I got that one now and will see next weekend how it works out. Here is my thread of the 87 Cab I'm bringing back to live. ![]() Saving a 87 Carrera Cabrio

Thanks for tuning in, Rothaus.
Let me know how it goes. The one-piece 993 top does look much nicer. You are correct, there is a 993 style top specifically designed/made for the '84 - '89 Carrera. Hopefully that fits your car better. Let me know where you bought it from. Did you buy the German canvas top? |
